During the recent days I developed this little widget for mac. It’s a little lock sitting in your dashboard. On double-click it locks your computer and can also put it into sleep mode. It’s kind of a little promo thing for my latest project inticgear.com that you should also have a look at (It will be available in english soon). Please tell me what you think about it

My final uni project will be going online soon. It’s a shop for laptop locks (”Laptop Schloss” in german). I’m planning to have it up and running in 3 weeks. This Homepage helps you to calculate how long you would be able to survive if you were thrown into the vacuum of space. To figure this out they use variables like age, weight and fitness. Doesn’t it just feel good to know?

Well, I think after those red and blue colored silly-looking glasses most of us got an idea what the 3rd dimension might be. And some of us could even imagine that with time combined this could be described as the 4th dimension. Anything beyond that was not imaginable at all. Now Rob Bryant comes along and tells us to think in 10 dimensions. And - as weird as it sounds in the end I really got an idea what that could be like. Not that it would be very useful in day-to-day life - but still - a very interesting thought experiment for sure. Rob also wrote a book called Imagining the 10th diemsnsion. I haven’t read it - but it might be worth a look.

I got totally hooked on this game today. It looks really simple - but I can tell you: once you start you can’t stop. The page says if you make it 18 secondes you’re really good - and that is indeed hard. I honestly doubt that anyone can play it for the 2 minutes mentioned. What a timekiller
